Save the Date for Delco Gives May 8-9, 2025!
Delco Gives is a county-wide day of giving and community celebration, hosted by The Foundation for Delaware County, where people make a donation to their favorite nonprofits (or peruse new ones). Delco Gives is more than just a fundraising event; it's a celebration of the Delco generosity and community spirit.
Each donation is eligible for bonus money provided by the Foundation, and cash prizes sponsored by local businesses are given out throughout the day. During the inaugural Delco Gives Day on May 8 - 9, 2024 more than $1.7M was raised for 281 nonprofits. Online activity was accompanied by a number of celebrations held throughout the county that brought together nonprofits, donors, businesses, and volunteers to showcase the power of collective action and community giving.
Giving Days have proven to be highly successful in communities across the country, inspiring philanthropy, fostering collaboration, and raising awareness of local nonprofits and their work. These events have generated millions of dollars in donations, enabling nonprofits to expand their services and address pressing community needs. In neighboring counties, Giving Days raise millions of dollars each year for their communities (Extra Give in Lancaster raised $10.2 M in 2022, Give Local York raised $4.6 M).
