Legacy Arts Chester

Launched in 2018, Legacy Arts Chester provides free after school art programming for Chester Youth and works to transform the face of our community through public art projects. 

Legacy Arts Chester:

• Invests in our student’s artistic skills through lessons with various mediums such as drawing, painting, mural, and installation work
• Empowers student leaders through mentorship and by offering teaching opportunities
• Provides safe, enriching spaces for students to be out of school

Our programs include:

• Makerspace: Focuses on crafts, creative thinking, and community beautification for beginners
• Art Club: Various mediums, techniques, and styles are taught through project-based learning
• Studio Arts: Using an apprenticeship model for advanced students, this program teaches medium-based projects
• Portfolio Prep: Students work closely with an art educator to develop their personal voice and style and prepare their college portfolio
