Ellen Salome Memorial Fund

A nonprofit organization

The Ellen Salome Memorial Fund was created in memory of 15-year-old heart warrior, Ellen Salome a freshman high school student. Ellen had a heart transplant when she was 9. It was sudden and unexpected. She lived 6 years with her gift of life.  The funds, mission is to inspire dreams and honor legacies. The Salome family experiences joy when the give to others. The non-profit mission is to give joy to others who wouldn't otherwise experience or wouldn't expect the opportunity.  We believe everyone deserves Joy in their lives.

Our nonprofit promotes heart health, organ donation and youth engagement with mentorship and volunteer hours. We especially are grateful to the theater community that provides space for teens and middle school students to express themselves, find their joy and learn life skills while making friends and long-lasting memories.

Ellen's smile and laugh were contagious. Ellen was not able to experience all of the joys that she dreamt of. The Ellen Salome Memorial Fund will pursue, collaborate and give joy. The gift of life that Ellen received through her heart transplant was priceless. Our intention is continuing to pass along knowledge, resources, empathy and kindness to others who have been impacted by cardiac disease and organ transplant.

YOLO, Ellen
