Media-Providence Friends School

Media-Providence Friends School (MPFS) is a small, joyful Friends school in Media, PA, serving students in preschool through eighth grade. Rooted in Friends values, MPFS is a place where every child is known, valued, and challenged to grow—academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our classrooms are lively, student-centered communities where learning is hands-on and inquiry-driven. Small class sizes allow teachers to truly know their students and to nurture each child's strengths, interests, and voice. From early literacy and math to rich humanities, science, world languages, and the arts, MPFS students are encouraged to ask big questions, think critically, and care deeply.

Beyond academics, MPFS is committed to cultivating empathy, integrity, and a sense of responsibility to others. Students engage in service-learning, conflict-resolution, and community-building practices that help them become thoughtful, engaged citizens. Guided by the Friends testimonies of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality, and stewardship, our students learn that their choices matter and that they can make a difference.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit independent school, MPFS relies on the generosity of our community to help bridge the gap between tuition and the full cost of an MPFS education. Philanthropic support fuels financial aid, innovative programming, and the “special sauce” of a nurturing Friends community that helps every child’s inner light shine.
