In the heart of Newtown Square is Garrett Williamson -
The community the land built.

Our story began with Elizabeth Garrett, who in 1912 left her 240-acre farm to create a place where children and families could grow, learn, and thrive. Her vision was clear: this land should forever serve the community, offering opportunities for education, recreation, and connection to nature.

Today, we honor Elizabeth Garrett’s legacy through our Early Childhood Education programs at Garrett’s Way, Camp Garrett, and Agriculture Education programs. We use her land as a living classroom, where children care for animals, tend gardens, learn about sustainability, and build friendships — all in a safe, nurturing environment.

But we can only make these experiences accessible with the help of generous supporters. Each year, we award over $700,000 in scholarships, ensuring that financial barriers never stand in the way of a child’s growth.

This Delco Gives Day, you can help us carry Elizabeth Garrett’s mission forward.

Your gift will help provide scholarships that open doors for local children to experience the joy and wonder of nature-based learning and community connection.

Join us in cultivating tomorrow!
