You can help Sunshine Foundation, the top-rated wish-granting organization, answer dreams of two Delaware County children with severe healthcare needs!

Sunshine Foundation answers dreams to children with lifelong severe chronic illnesses and conditions such as: level 3 severe autism, Down syndrome, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, severe epilepsy, Sickle Cell Disease, blindness, deafness, trauma from abuse, and many others.

Major, from Upper Darby diagnosed with Trisomy 21 and level 3 severe autism, is dreaming of a Special Dream family trip to Great Wolf Lodge!

Major's mom says, "My son loves to play. Although he is nonverbal & doesn't walk, he loves to play, especially in water. I believe this will be important to Major because it has been so hard, and he will definitely love the water park just to be able to have some fun."

The most common request is a Magical Dream to visit Universal Studios, Disney World, Legoland Florida, and SeaWorld, while staying at the Sunshine Foundation Dream Village near Disney in Central Florida. Magical Dreams cost $5,500 on average.

Your donations will also help answer the dream of an 8-year-old boy, from Darby, with cerebral palsy and seizures, who dreams of a Magical Dream family trip to Disney World!

"He is excited to see all the Disney characters and fireworks and interact with others."

(“Normally a picture of the child would be included, but we are respecting the parent’s wish for privacy.”)

Sunshine Foundation also answers Special Dreams: shopping sprees, computers and iPads, bedroom makeovers, outdoor playsets, above ground swimming pools, family trips, cruises, adaptive tricycles and other special needs equipment, plus many more. These dreams average $2,200 each.

To make these dreams a reality for children that may be turned away from other wish-granting organizations that require a life-threatening or critical diagnosis, Sunshine Foundation relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations, and corporations.

Sunshine Foundation answers the dreams of children, ages three through eighteen, who have severe or profound physical/developmental/intellectual challenges or trauma from physical/sexual abuse, and whose families have limited income. Since 1976, Sunshine Foundation has spread Sunshine into the lives of more than 43,280 children.

We are proud to be the Top-Rated Wish-Granting Organization in the United States with a perfect 100% 4-Star Rating on Charity Navigator and an "A" Rating on CharityWatch!
