At Philly Friendship Circle, we believe that everyone is an artist—and that creativity is a powerful way to connect, express, and grow. At every single one of our Sunday programs - both for children and teens (ages 17 & under) with and without disabilities, and young adults (ages 18+) - our committed Art Therapist, Maria, provides a welcoming space where people come together through the joy of making art.
Each year, we culminate our programs with a vibrant art show that showcases the incredible talent, passion, and progress of our artists. This special event brings families, friends, and community members together to celebrate the creative voices that too often go unheard.
This year, our young alumni---young students and professionals who have been connected to our programs, some of them their whole lives, have made a goal of raising half of the match themselves! They will be working hard to raise $1800, and we hope that the larger community will raise another $1800 on top of that. Our alumni are at the front lines of creating a true culture of disability inclusion at their schools and workplaces. They already care about our mission, and know they're raising money to fund it. Let's support them by raising the other half of the $3600 match!
We envision a world in which all people, including those with special needs and their families, experience acceptance, inclusion, and friendship. We choose to see each person as a soul with infinite potential and abilities, and we are proud to support and celebrate everyone’s unique needs.
Philly Friendship Circle provides organized physical and social structures to support inclusive friendships, connections, respite, and fulfillment for children and teens of all abilities and their respective families, young adults of all abilities, and the Jewish community at large. Through fun and interactive experiences, these relationships bring a sense of joy and meaning to the Philly Friendship Circle community and beyond. While we are a Jewish organization, we welcome friends from all different walks of life.
