Newlin Grist Mill and the surrounding 160 acres is a place of rich history, stretching over 300 years into the past, from the early days of a colonial mill to today. It is a place of connection and discovery, from our historic buildings to our natural landscapes and diverse habitats. It is a window into the past and a connection with those who came before us, helping us remember who we were and envisioning who we will be in the future. It is a promise, to preserve and care for our historic buildings and open spaces for the benefit of our community, today and for future generations.
Nowhere else in our region is a site quite like Newlin Grist Mill, with one of the oldest continually operating water wheels in the United States, a ½ mile long historic water system, 160 acres of open space with rich and diverse habitats, and generations of families making lasting memories through their experiences here.
“What a gem.” - Neil
