Mission

At Media Food Bank @ First Church, we are dedicated to nurturing the mind, body, and spirit of those we serve, addressing food insecurity with a holistic approach rooted in Compassion, Community, Dignity, and Sustainability. Embracing our diverse human family, we aim to empower individuals through nourishment and education, fostering a future where everyone thrives in harmony.

Our Impact

Since our founding in 1995, Media Food Bank @ First Church has been a cornerstone in Delaware County:

• over 55,000 individuals face food insecurity in Delaware County


• more than 20,000 of those individuals are children


• we serve approximately 220 families per week


• we distribute an average of 105,000 lbs of food per quarter


• the number of families we serve has increased by 20% in the first quarter of 2025

Food distribution:

Thursdays: 6:00 - 8:00 PM

Sundays: 1:00 - 2:00 PM

We provide families with essential food items, contributing to the well-being and stability of our community.
