Feeding Our Neighbors

Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry is a ministry of the Prospect Hill Baptist Church. Launched in 2001 by then deacons Linda Freeman and Lana Lindenmuth, the operation has grown during its 24 years of existence to serve clients from all corners of Delaware County.

What Sets Our Operation Apart

After serving the community for 20+ years as a traditional pre-boxed food pantry, we decided we could offer our clients a greater level of choice and dignity in their shopping experience. In 2022, we embarked on a new adventure, converting Loaves and Fishes to a full choice model.

Following check-in, our clients move through the aisles selecting items from our shelves that best meet their family’s needs, including bread, fresh produce, meats, shelf-stable products and dairy items like milk, eggs, and yogurt as well as household supplies and personal care items.

How You Can Help

Our operation depends on our network of generous community-based donors. There are many ways to contribute to the success of our mission.

  • Donate money (the quickest and easiest way to make an impact!)

  • Donate food (organize a food drive in your community!)

  • Donate time (by volunteering!)

We depend on donations to maintain a consistent supply of all items. How else could we possibly meet the needs of over 1500 different households every year through monthly shopping and home delivery?

With over 25 regular volunteers ranging from 13 to 85, it is a pantry for the community provided by the community. You make this possible - and we couldn't do it without your support.
