Discover Haverford works year-round to support local businesses, beautify our township, create community experiences, and strengthen our commercial districts within Haverford Township.

Discover Haverford, formerly the Haverford Partnership for Economic Development (HPED), was founded in 2009 to address declining conditions and vacant storefronts in our business districts. Since then, we’ve helped transform these areas into vibrant, welcoming spaces that support local businesses, enhance quality of life, and contribute to rising property values.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we partner with local government, business owners, and residents to strengthen Haverford Township’s economy. Our mission is to promote the township as a destination for shopping and dining while creating inviting public spaces.

We host popular community events like Shop Small Saturday, Love Local Nights, and the Havertown Holiday Festival, and invest in beautification efforts—from planters and lighting to signage and seating—that make our districts more enjoyable for all.

We are equally committed to supporting our small business community. We support small businesses through workshops, networking, marketing support, and ribbon-cuttings. In recent years, we’ve managed two matching grant programs, awarding funding to more than 30 businesses for improvements.

With the support of our community, we’ve accomplished a great deal—and we’re excited to do even more to make Haverford Township a great place to live, work, and shop.
