We are reimagining what healing looks like: blending the power of play, mental health education, and community care to support children and families when they need it most.

A Moment of Magic is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing play, connection, and mental health support to medically vulnerable children and their families. Founded in 2014, we have reached more than 185,000 children nationwide and we are proud to serve families right here in Delco

Our flagship program transforms trained volunteers into beloved characters who serve as trauma-informed companions on a child’s healing journey. Through storytelling, creativity, and connection, we create moments that restore joy and preserve identity in the midst of illness.

💛 Express, Create, Heal | Play that Sparks Healing

A peer-led, trauma-informed initiative featuring curated activities that spark conversation, foster belonging, and equip children with tools to navigate their emotions at a time when their world feels uncertain.

Through guided activities, storytelling, and creative expression, children explore:

• Body image and self-confidence
• Emotional regulation tools
• Identity beyond diagnosis
• Coping strategies during treatment

This programming supports not only the child, but also families and caregivers who are navigating the emotional weight of medical uncertainty.

Designed with accessibility at its core, AMoM Unlimited brings play-based programming directly to medically vulnerable children, wherever they are. Through virtual experiences and on-demand content, we ensure that connection and care are always within reach.
