Rose Tree Pops Orchestra

Formed in 1985 by Jeanne Bell, the Rose Tree Pops is a community orchestra committed to the performance of the world's orchestral repertoire including classical, light classical, and pops music literature.  Under the direction of Dr. Roberta Winemiller, the Pops has expanded their repertoire to encompass an even wider array of styles, including Jazz and Big Band music.  The Pops is also committed to encouraging young musicians with the annual Luca DelNegro Youth Soloist Competition.  The winning student (high school age) performs with the orchestra in their spring concert and receives a stipend for future music education.  We also support the 2nd and 3rd place students with a stipend as well so that they can continue their musical growth. The orchestra also performs in area retirement communities in the Spring.
