Millions of Americans face the day-to-day reality of living with mental illness. NAMI offers help and hope. Our vision is a future where everyone in our community affected by mental illness along with their families receive the help and support they need.
We embrace people living with mental illness and their families, who are often isolated. We offer understanding and support unique to people who are affected by these conditions. One in five people in the U.S. faces mental illness, which means that over 100,000 of our neighbors in Delaware County face these challenges. We are committed to reaching as many of them as we can.
We know that the path to recovery lies with individual, family and community education, peer support, common sense public policy and the promotion of public understanding.
The heart of NAMI is our unrivaled grassroots network of volunteers in communities across the nation. NAMI means more than simply hope — we educate families and people living with mental illness and we advocate to ensure better lives for everyone.
We deliver information and education to families, healthcare providers, employers, law enforcement, in schools, and faith-based communities to enable them to help effectively.
Most people don't know us until they need us, but we all may be close to someone who does. Your gift can ensure they are not alone and that they receive compassion and connection to a caring community with reliable information from those who share similar experiences at no cost to them.
Your gift turns into:
A supported community is a strong community. Your gift will make a difference in the lives of people throughout the communities we serve. NAMI Main Line PA has been offering help and hope to local families since 1979.
