Keep Music Alive

A nonprofit organization

Keep Music Alive is a Delaware County based non-profit on a mission to help more children (and adults) reap the educational, therapeutic and social benefits of playing music.  Our programs include Teach Music Week (March), Kids Music Day (October), Musical Instrument Grants and year-round Musical Instrumnet Petting Zoo events at schools, libraries & community festivals.  In September 2024, we launched a FREE After-School Music Lessons program at two locations in Chester for students who others would not have the opportunity to take private lessons.  Each year, Keep Music Alive hosts 80-100+ musical instrument instrument petting zoo events featuring acoustic & electric guitars, ukuleles, keyboards and dozens of different types of percussion instruments.  Each of these programs is designed to inspire the next generation of music makers, because we know the many benefits they will receive.  We're not trying to turn every child into a professional musician...instead we're trying to give them the best chance of success no matter what career path they choose later in life.  Learning to play music is the magical key that will unlock future success for children in our community.
