Drexel Neumann Academy

Drexel Neumann Academy(DNA) is proudly in our 19th successful year of providing a quality faith based education in the city of Chester. Our success is built on a long standing, committed board, faculty and staff and a collaboration between the parent, the student and the school. We firmly believe the best way to break the cycle of poverty and violence in Chester is education.  The school’s President and Principal provide leadership and administration in Catholic education, communication of vision and mission, strategic planning and program development. Complementing their efforts is a team of dedicated, resourceful, and creative teachers, supported and guided by an engaged Board of Directors.

DNA is giving the children of Chester the opportunity to be models of peacemaking and the educational foundation for a bright and successful future. We strive to educate the whole child; to foster the moral, spiritual, intellectual, cultural, emotional, social, and physical development of each child.

DNA students are exposed to conflict resolution and peacemaking and are encouraged to develop skills and attitudes that will lead them on the path to future success. We teach our students to be committed to academic achievement, service to others and personal responsibility. Our goal is that these values are instilled in the students and spread throughout the community. We teach them to act responsibly in dealing with their emotions and social situations.  Admittance is offered to any child who resides in the city of Chester, there is no discrimination based on religion, financial resources, or race. 100% of our student population require and receive tuition assistance. Class sizes are limited to 20 students per class in grades Pre-K through eighth grade for more individualized instruction with individual and small group tutoring when needed.
