CASA Youth Advocates

A nonprofit organization

For more than 30 years, our advocates have been heroes in the lives of youth in foster care and the child welfare system in Delaware and Chester counties.

CASA Youth Advocates trains community volunteers to serve as court-appointed advocates for children in the foster care and child welfare systems in Delaware and Chester Counties. These children have often experienced abuse or neglect, and CASA is the only organization in our region dedicated to providing them with a consistent, caring advocate.

Last year, we provided 322 children with a CASA advocate, and served a record-breaking 217 families. But our work is not done- there are still more than 50% of children in each county who qualify for a CASA, and need our assistance.

Our advocates are consistently working to serve in the best interest of the youth they represent. Whether they are ensuring the child is being cared for appropriately in their foster placement, acting as an Educational Decision Maker, helping with college applications, or offering a supportive listening ear, our CASA volunteers provide much needed stability in an otherwise chaotic system.
