4 Circles Beyond, Inc.

4 Circles Beyond's liberation work in Chester began in the early 2000s. While 4CB Founder and President Niyonu Spann was serving as Dean at Pendle Hill, she partnered with Chester Eastside Ministries to create YouthPLACE, a program centering peace-building, leadership, and artistic expression. In the years since, 4CB,with the guidance of its majority Quaker Board of Directors and Advisory Board,has expanded its commitment to peace- and arts-centered education, leading the Peace, Liberation, and the Arts Summer Camp annually, and developing the Agents and Advocates Out-of-School Program. 

Today, 4CB is in an important moment of expansion with our upcoming launch of the Academy for Peace and Liberation High School (AP&LE) in the Fall of 2027. AP&LE will be an independent Quaker school in Chester, PA, with the mission of serving as a high school and community center working for liberation
