Family Village has deep roots in Delaware County. While the name is new the services delivered through WIC, Healthy Start, Nurse-Family Partnership, Health Resource Center, Medical-Legal Partnership Program, Doula Program, Fatherhood Program, Hispanic Resource Center, GROW Mama, Cribs for Kids and HOPE have been serving vulnerable pregnant women and young families for many years. These valuable resources connect families to healthcare, help meet basic needs, keep stable housing, and so much more. Family Village programs and staff embrace families helping them to thrive.
Family Village embraces families and works in partnership with families to help improve maternal and birth outcomes, reduce infant and maternal mortality and morbidity in Delaware County. Good health, wellness, safety, and wellbeing are at the heart of our work. Community health workers, nurses, case managers, social workers, lawyers, and more work together and with families to provide health, parenting, and life skills education, reduce stress, improve health status, navigate systems, and care, and connect to needed resources.
