Solarize Delco

Solarize Delco is a 501c3 dedicated to advancing solar power adoption. Solarize is run and staffed by unpaid volunteers and Solarize derives its budget from a small fee from the Solarize Delco contractors based on the kW solar capacity installed under the program. 100% of this fee is put back into the program for things like: display and outreach materials, events, grants and our web site and communication fees. Solarize Delco can also receive tax deductible contributions, may apply for grants to expand its program in the future and is actively seeking non-profit partners with experience in obtaining grants and administering programs for low-income homeowners.

Once you provide your contact information, someone from our team will connect with you to: welcome you to the program, answer any questions, and explain the next steps fully. We’ll connect you with our approved, local to greater Philadelphia area, installer to install the Photovoltaics (PV), who will provide a free project proposal that is specifically tailored to your home’s specific needs based on electricity usage, roof space, sun exposure and other factors. Once you’re happy with the contract, the installer will handle all permitting and engineering requirements and work with PECO to manage the connection prior to installation. Installation of the panels will take place per your agreed upon schedule, and you’ll be generating carbon-free power!
