Last year, we asked you to help us return to Delaware County. You answered that call.

Because of your support, Black Girls With Green Thumbs has successfully re-rooted in DelCo at the new County Park on Springfield Rd in Darby. 

What was once a hopeful plan is now a living, growing ecosystem of programs serving both youth and community members across generations. Today, two new programs are in motion:

• Gardeners Without Borders engages high school students in hands-on learning through a youth-led market garden where they grow food, build business skills, and see themselves as leaders within their own communities.
• Grow & Walk DelCo invites residents of all ages to reconnect with their health, their neighbors, and the natural spaces around them through accessible movement and garden-based wellness experiences.

Together, these programs are doing more than filling space, they are helping neighbors restore relationships with to land, food, and each other.

But returning was just the beginning. Now, we’re asking you to help us stay!

As a small, grass-roots organization, our ability to sustain these programs depends on continued investment. Your support ensures that teens have consistent opportunities to learn and lead, that families have access to welcoming green spaces, and that Delaware County continues to grow a culture of wellness and connection for years to come.
