MINIMIZING DEMENTIA CAREGIVER BURNOUT

WELL-BEING IS THE HEART OF CAREGIVING

Every day, countless spouses, partners, and adult children across Delaware County — and far beyond — quietly set aside their own needs to care for a loved one living with dementia. They do it out of deep love and loyalty, but the emotional and financial strain can be overwhelming. And far too many of these live‑in caregivers fall through the cracks, receiving no government support at all.

That’s where we step in. 

As a Delco‑based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, The Wellness Foundation for Dementia Caregivers exists to lift some of that weight. Through the generosity of donors and corporate partners, we provide ⭐ Wellness Grants — $500 per grant, up to $2,000 a year — offering real, tangible relief by covering the cost of respite care and mental health counseling that help live‑in dementia caregivers protect their own well‑being.

But financial relief is only the beginning.

📚 We also offer education through our website’s Knowledge & Hope Library and blog, giving caregivers clear, trustworthy guidance in a world that often feels overwhelming. 

📣 We push for advocacy, working to change the culture around dementia care and reduce the bias caregivers face at work and in their communities. 

 ☕ And we invest in isolation prevention, creating spaces—like our Coffee & Conversation meetups—where caregivers can reconnect, exhale, and feel human again.

Together, these supports form a lifeline. And donors make every part of it possible.

Your support ensures that these caregivers, who often feel invisible and exhausted, are seen, valued, and cared for. With your help, they can take a breath, find strength, and continue providing the loving home their family member depends on.
