Loaves of Love Food Pantry

Food insecurity is defined as a lack of consistent access to enough food for every person in a household to live an active, healthy life. This can be a temporary situation or can last much longer. Food insecurity is a complex issue and may be influenced by several factors including income, employment, chronic and acute health problems, high medical costs, social isolation, and disability. The additional stress of feeding your household, during an uncertain time, can be frightening. According to Feeding America, as of 2023, Delaware County had a food insecurity rate of 11.5%. 

Loaves of Love is an all-volunteer, community-supported, interfaith food pantry. We provide fresh and shelf-stable 
groceries and toiletry items once a month to supplement the needs of community members. Individuals or families come to us in their time of need through our local school district’s social worker, references through churches, or contacting us directly. Whether they need food for one-time or many, we serve them with dignity and respect and for as long as needed. In
addition, Loaves of Love works together with our local resident, Chris Battin, who serves the streets of
Kensington. Chris frequently crosses paths with former residents of our area.

Non-perishable donations are accepted 24/7 via the blue bin outside Siloam UMC located at 3720 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley. Monetary donations can be mailed to Siloam UMC.
