Coro da capo is a vibrant volunteer choir that brings the power and beauty of a cappella music to life, offering Philadelphia-area singers and audiences a truly distinctive choral experience. Committed to artistic excellence and accessibility, Coro da capo presents outstanding free public concerts, made possible through the generosity of donors and grant support. Founded in 2017 and based in Newtown Square, Coro da capo performs twice a year at Ardmore Presbyterian Church.

Our choir’s name, Coro da capo, captures the spirit of our effort. "Da capo" is the musical direction meaning "a return to the beginning." For our membership, being able to return to this music—to carve out time from busy lives—is an act of devotion.

We are amateurs, giving our time, effort, and skill for no reason other than our deep affection for music. The word "amateur" comes from the Latin "amare," to love. We love the challenge of learning a beautiful repertoire, the joy of singing it well, and the connection of sharing these concerts with our audiences.

This beautiful art, however, requires funding to keep it going! That is where our wonderful donors like you come in. Your gift during Delco Gives helps us cover the cost of sheet music, music folders, rental fees for our venue, and recording and sound operations for our performances. Last year's donations helped us purchase sturdy new risers for the choir!

The best part of participating? During Delco Gives, every donor who gives $10 or more helps Coro da capo receive additional bonus funding from the Delco Gives match pool. That means your small gift can make an even bigger impact.

Please consider a donation of any amount and THANK YOU! We are so grateful for your support of our work.
