Buckners Giving Tree

Buckners’ Giving Tree is dedicated to making a direct tangible impact on the lives of children, families, seniors, veterans, the homebound disabled and our "Outdoor Friends We provide essential daily resources—including nourishing food, clothing, footwear toiletries, diapers, wipes, formulas, and other resources anyone in need, without discrimination. While we serve all, we hold an "Extra Special" place in our hearts for the care of our Seniors and Veterans. We will soon add and take on the deliveries of weekly and monthly meals and essentials to over (50) fifty additional Seniors and Veterans. We are seeking support to purchase a van to aide in this mission.

Our mission began 25 years ago when the founders then four-year-old son began delivering toys and food bags to local women's shelters. However, the spirit of the "Giving Tree" existed long before it had a name. As a Buckner, we were raised with a simple philosophy: "If you have two of anything, share one with someone who has none." It was common for my siblings and I to return from school to find my parents sharing our family dinner with a stranger in need.

This work is more than a charity; it is my calling and my Walk of Faith. Through the generosity of our donors, we currently provide resources to 300–450 families and individuals every Tuesday and Friday. 

Your donations turn into immediate blessings for our neighbors in need. With your support, we can expand our outreach and launch new programs to serve even more neighbors throughout Delaware County.
