Share Food Program

A nonprofit organization

Share Food Program leads the fight against food insecurity in the Greater Philadelphia region by serving an expansive, quality partner network of community-based organizations and school districts engaged in food distribution, education, and food justice advocacy.

Here in Delco, Share Food Program is the lead agency for state and federal food distribution. Currently, Share works with 16 partner pantries in Delaware County to provide nutritious, free food to more than 20,000 residents experiencing hunger each month, delivers 10,000 free school lunches to 36 different schools in the county. and provides 4,000 low-income seniors every single month.

In total, Share Food Program provided our Delco neighbors with nearly 2 million pounds of food.

The amount of individuals Share has served in DelCo has doubled since 2022. That's why Share Food Program is opening a newly renovated, state-of-the-art food distribution center in Ridley Twp.  Launching this summer, this warehouse will help us expand our services to the 55,000 local residents experiencing food insecurity and ensure that no one in our community suffers from hunger.

Your support of Share Food Program will help us provide food to thousands of people experiencing hunger and food insecurity right here in our Delaware County communities.

Together, we can solve the hunger problem.

Each month, across the five-county region, Share Food Program:

 • Distributes millions of pounds of emergency food relief, in partnership with about 325 pantry partners, food sites, and community-based organizations

• Provides nutrition for over 250,000 children across nearly 800 schools and 70 school districts across 5 counties through the National School Lunch Program
