Philadelphia Blues Society

The Philadelphia Blues Society serves the greater Philadelphia region in support of Blues Music and all the people who love the Blues through performance, promotion, preservation, and community education. 

Each October, this year is Saturday, October 10th, The Philadelphia Blues Society holds our annual Blues Festival bringing a variety of Blues to our blues-loving community with blues musicians and bands from all over, featuring local bands who are members of The Philadelphia Blues Society . It's a fun-filled day of music and community, not only with great Blues music but also a variety of delicious foods from area food vendors, and we have craft vendors selling unique, original, handmade items, too.

The Philadelphia Blues Society brings "live" Blues music to Jamey's House of Music in Lansdowne every 1st Thursday of the month for The Philadelphia Blues Society presents 1st Thursday's at Jamey's House of Music where we highlight one of our member bands or musicians, or we bring in a regional act to perform.

Our "Blues in the Schools" program brings professional musicians into area schools to teach the students about the culture, history, rhythm and soul of the Blues through fun, interactive musical expression and live performance.

Your generous, "tax-deductible" donation helps us in "Keeping The Blues Alive" in Delco and the greater Philadelphia region by bringing the best musicians and bands to perform for you at our Annual Blues Festival, our 1st Thursday at Jamey's House of Music, and helps us to bring our "Blues in the Schools" program to area schools so students can learn about the rich history of the Blues and the impact that it plays on all music genres.
