The Lloyd’s Light Foundation stands as a beacon of hope and advocacy for individuals and families impacted by substance use.

Inspired by Lloyd’s life, we work to reduce stigma, connect people to support, and strengthen recovery in our community.

At Lloyd’s Light, we believe that healing begins the moment someone feels seen, supported, and understood. We meet individuals exactly where they are in their journey—without judgment, without expectation, and with compassion at the center of everything we do.

We support healing through both traditional and non-traditional approaches, including harm reduction—meeting individuals with practical, life-saving strategies that reduce risk while supporting their path toward recovery. We recognize that recovery looks different for each person, and we support a range of pathways—including abstinence-based and harm reduction approaches—honoring the full human experience and empowering transformation through mind, body, and spirit.”

Reducing harm keeps people alive and connected—creating the conditions where recovery becomes possible.

What Lloyd was like

Lloyd was much more than his Substance Use Disorder. He was a loving, kind, creative, and highly intelligent person who loved his family and was incredibly generous in supporting others in their recovery journey through his wisdom and compassion. He had a vibrant sense of curiosity and a deep appreciation for music and art, which he often shared with those around him. Lloyd’s empathy reached beyond his own struggles, inspiring hope and resilience in everyone he met.

Fondest memories of Lloyd

His constant kindness and unconditional love. Friends and family recall how Lloyd always made time to listen and offer thoughtful advice, never judging but always encouraging. His laughter would fill a room, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere wherever he went.

How Lloyd will be missed

His kindness, sense of humor and wisdom, and most of all his love. The absence of his gentle guidance and uplifting spirit will be deeply felt by all who knew him. Lloyd’s legacy of compassion and support leaves an enduring impact on his community.
