Friends of Little Crum Creek Park

Little Crum Creek Park is a wonderful five-acre green space that serves as a resource for Swarthmore and the surrounding community. The park is owned by the Borough of Swarthmore and maintained in tandem with the Board of Friends of Little Crum Creek Park and Park Pals, the volunteer arm of Friends. Volunteers meet on Second Saturdays of the month to perform park maintenance and tree care by removing invasive species and replanting with native trees and shrubs, maintaining paths, and cleaning the stream. The park is a welcoming space for all people and native wildlife.

Friends of Little Crum Creek Park was formed as a nonprofit in 2020 and its mission is to preserve, restore, maintain, and protect the diverse native habitat, water quality, beauty, and sustainable legacy of the park. The park offers opportunities for play and picnicking, following the Storybook Walk, bird watching, tree identification, painting, and just relaxing.

Donations are typically used to purchase native plants and trees and essential park amenities.
